Photovoltaic solar panels are for life

The United Kingdom has seen increasing adoption of photovoltaic solar panels. The reason for installing PV solar panels is easy. Since the feed-in tariffs began in 2010, we shouted from the rooftops about its benefits.

However, it was designed to reward early adopters the most and later adopters the least.

This caused a rush for demand and why they are prevalent in the human ecosystem today. The new rate of around 5.44 pence per kWh is a reward rate that pays you for the surplus power you generate.

Let’s put the export tariff into context. It’s the equivalent of being paid for the time your vehicle is on the driveway unused.

Think about that for a moment. Installing solar panels, using the power yourself day and night with battery storage, but get paid when the technology is not benefitting yourself.

The best is still to come. To use the car analogy once more, now imagine your vehicle is guaranteed for twenty to thirty years operational time with minimal servicing.

This is the reality of installing PV solar panels today. We’re offering long-term survival in an increasingly energy-hungry world.

Realistically, solar panels have a lifespan longer than your mortgage. Your current car will be a faded memory of the past as your still self-generating. Ultimately, photovoltaic solar panels will continue to serve you long into the future.

Those who install will benefit more financially as electric vehicles become the new normal.
